Ok, so maybe I am a little crazy, but I confess, I love garden tours. I love to see beautiful gardens. All of you who follow me know this.  I am hoping that next year I will organize a few excursions for all of you who would like to join me. How fun to go as a group to oogle and awe at someone else's beautiful garden?  I love to drag along good friends, including my BFF which loves the tours as much as I do.  Here we are a few years ago in front of the Modern Family house which was on a tour. A good landscape design always has lots of leaf textures. I like to always have one or two sword type leafed plants integrated in my planting designs. One of my favorite plants is Hemerocallis, commonly called daylily. For clients who love cut flowers that can be brought inside it is a favorite. It comes in so many different color variations that will make your head spin. But, for those clients who want low water, easy maintenance, it is a "go to" plant. Here in Southern California it will bloom so much of the year with good fertilization. It is also a great plant for hillsides and neglected areas of the yard. Very few pests. I am starting this blog because those of you who know me, know that I love to talk. And, I really love to talk about gardening, landscape design, pools, water features, and anything related. Simply put, I have been doing this for over 25 years professionally and I still love it. I love what I do for a living. So much so, that many times I don't properly charge for my work.
